Survivor Advocates- On Call (Volunteer Opportunity)

 

Description

 

Rae of Hope, Inc. is a new, modern, non-profit agency committed to serving survivors of domestic violence, stalking, and harassment. We assist our clients by providing the tools needed to start a safe, new, and brighter beginning. We provide everything from family & personal counseling, to safe housing and everything in between. We have and need more advocates in New York, Georgia, Minnesota, Louisiana, North and South Dakota, Florida and Illinois.

 

Work for Rae of Hope, Inc. as an On-Call Survivor/Victim Advocate!

 

Responsibilities include: Providing assistance to victims of stalking, domestic violence or harassment in obtaining Protective Orders and any legal protection needed. Providing necessary services to ensure immediate safety and long-term needs of the client and his/her dependents. Directing and setting up clients with resources and setting goals for a Life Change Plan.

 

 

Volunteer Opportunities

 

To volunteer for Rae of Hope, Inc. you must fill out and complete the volunteer application, and return it to Rae of Hope of Baton Rouge Inc. via fax or in the mail. After your application is submitted you will receive a phone call from the Program Department scheduling your volunteer orientation. If you do not live locally in Louisiana, your orientation will be done over the phone. After your orientation and background check is complete, you will officially be a volunteer for Rae of Hope, Inc. You will be added to our volunteer email list and be informed via email of any future volunteer opportunities and events that we will hold in your city.
